Addressing Racism as a public crisis

In July 2023, Cyber Capitol received a $100,000 grant from a $25 million total budget that was distributed by an iterative co-creation effort between King County and the community, known as the Gathering Collaborative. Cyber Capital is focusing on reducing the effects of the "Digital Divide" on the African American community, as 66% of African American households report having access to the internet as opposed to the 78% of White households. In the last six months, Cyber Capital, alongside SungLass Communications, have contacted a number of Black, Indigenous, and POC-led groups, identifying eligible prize recipients such as: People of Color Against AIDS Network, United Indians of All Tribes Foundation, and Africatown Family First Community Center.
